SnapMail

Nope, I can’t

I’ll do a clean install

Maybe it’s because of some firewall issue… Perhaps we should ALLOW all inbound and outbound ports, just in case the Holochain runtime is exposing some niche port for its p2p communication… Are you behind some firewall? Me behind Azure.

Which bootstrap server are you using?

This one, currently.

OK, me as well

Let’s try and figure it out in a Zoom?

Let’s better wait for Damien to drop some advice…

OK, let’s do that

You’d need to use the same value in ‘network id’ field to see each other.

And bootstrap-staging.holo.host is the bootstrap server right one to use.

What network ID do you have/use?

Lets try “sky”.

Hmm, now my Snapmail crashes when I try to change it

Weird… Is your Ubuntu (in WSL) running? Oops, sorry, you’re not on Windows, right?

I’m on Mac, but the beta version of the newest iteration of macOS, Monterey…

Perhaps try reinstalling… It would ask to re-enter a username anyway…

Also, I think it’s better to “join new network” than “switch network”…

It’s kind of strange. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and now I get a “white screen of death”. I’ll try it again but first delete the package contents, then the app itself, then reinstall.

Yeah… By the way, Windows 11 is coming; as far as I know, it’s gonna have app-containerization built in! Now would be a good time for mac users to ditch mac and adopt Windows; haha.
