Why do you use nixos despite of all its disadvantages?

Could someone please explain, why the project has decided to use NixOS despite of all its disadvantages?

There are good reasons to not use Nix on a cloud setting, however, we’re only using it for dependency management and as a tooling environment… As for the lack of documentation and ridiculously small community, the fact is that you don’t have to learn it much; just use it as you’re spoon-fed on how to do so; haha!
