As I understand it (and assuming no hosting on Holoports or similar), the data related to a Holochain hApp is stored on the users’ devices. As long as a hApp’s userbase is stable or growing this seems to be no problem. However, what happens if a hApp looses popularity and the userbase starts shrinking? I guess the data on the DHT would need to be distributed on fewer and fewer users in that case. Are there any mechanisms/strategies regarding the “fade-out” (or large mid/long-term fluctuations in the userbase in general) of a hApp, such that remaining users won’t lose access to relevant data and the hApp becomes unusable?
