Just wanted to throw in that I’m having the same issue as the OP here. Can’t get nix to build my environment at all, either through nix-shell https://nightly.holochain.love or just running the shell through the holochain gym. Been looking around to see if there are any solutions.

Update: nix works well on mac now, use that instead!
